EFT - The Emotional Freedom Techniques

Have you ever felt an uncomfortable emotion or worrisome thought that you couldn't change?

No matter how hard you tried to feel better, it didn't work.

What if it's possible to relieve those unwanted thoughts and emotions using a safe, physician approved, self-healing tool without the risks and side effects of medication. A technique you could use in the moment to help reduce overwhelming feelings of worry, fear, or anxiety.

You are about to discover an innovative, recently developed technique called EFT, The Emotional Freedom Technique. To date, EFT has yielded remarkable results for relieving emotional and physical distress. However, because it is so new it is currently considered experimental. Please read the EFT disclaimer.

I'm Margaret Ann Kellogg and my goal is to bring you tools that I have found helpful in assisting individuals to overcome the physical and emotional distress of anxiety, depression, and other difficulties.

To that end, EFT is the innovative meridian based energy technique which has had a positive effect in my life, the lives of my clients, and hundreds of thousands worldwide. In my 29 years as a psychotherapist, I have witnessed more profound and rapid changes with a number of my clients by combining EFT with the best of traditional psychotherapy methods. (Read participants' comments from my EFT seminars.)

What is EFT?

EFT is referred to as a type of energy therapy. The prevailing premise is that EFT uses the ancient Chinese Meridian system to relieve emotional stress and physiological pain. It balances the body's energy system with a gentle tapping procedure that stimulates designated meridian end points on the face and body. You can learn this simple procedure and have a self-help tool to use when needed. To date, EFT has yielded remarkable results for relieving emotional and physical distress. Although EFT appears to have promising mental, spiritual, and physical health benefits, please be advised that EFT has yet to be fully researched by the Western academic, medical, and physiological communities.

How Does EFT Work?

Research estimates that 85% of physical and psychological difficulties are impacted by the stress of unresolved emotional issues. EFT appears to assist in alleviating the subconscious, underlying issues that support emotional, physical, and spiritual challenges. It has been shown that EFT can assist individuals to:
  • Resolve - emotional issues that can lead to stress, depression, anxiety, food cravings, and relational conflicts.
  • Replace - self-defeating patterns with self-acceptance
  • Develop - habits for improved health and vitality
  • Results:
  • It has been my experience with clients and workshop participants that EFT has been helpful to:
      · reduce stress, anxiety, and panic
      · decrease the physical discomfort of anxiety
      · relieve unresolved feelings from the past including trauma and abuse
      · increase self esteem and confidence
      · improve decision making and relationships
      · clarify business / career goals
      · decrease emotional eating from stress
